Is your business legally established for healthcare — registered or incorporated, and, if you're setting up a professional corporation, structured to meet CPSA's requirements for one?

Physician professional corporations have specific ownership and naming rules set by CPSA; confirm yours qualifies before relying on it.

Is professional liability protection in place for every practitioner, along with commercial coverage for the premises and the business itself?

For physicians this is usually CMPA membership; commercial general liability and property insurance cover the facility.

Have you confirmed your employer and tax obligations before hiring — payroll deductions, Workers' Compensation coverage, and whether any tax registration applies to your services?
