Written IPC Program & Accountability

Do you keep written infection prevention and control policies that are dated and reviewed on a regular schedule?

The review date should be on the document so a reviewer can see it is current.

Is one person clearly responsible for IPC, and do staff receive documented IPC training when they start and periodically after?

The responsible person can be an existing team member with appropriate IPC training, not necessarily a dedicated hire.

Could you show that injections and medications are handled safely — single-dose items used once, multi-dose vials handled correctly, and preparation done aseptically?

Unsafe injection practices are among the most common and serious findings in clinic inspections.
